OmniNFT: Modality-wise Omni Diffusion Reinforcement for Joint Audio-Video Generation

Recent advances in joint audio-video generation have been remarkable, yet real-world applications demand strong per-modality fidelity, cross-modal alignment, and fine-grained synchronization. Reinforcement Learning (RL) offers a promising paradigm, but its extension to multi-objective and multi-modal joint audio-video generation remains unexplored. Notably, our in-depth analysis first reveals that the primary obstacles to applying RL in this stem from: (i) multi-objective advantages inconsistency, where the advantages of multimodal outputs are not always consistent within a group; (ii) multi-modal gradients imbalance, where video-branch gradients leak into shallow audio layers responsible for intra-modal generation; (iii) uniform credit assignment, where fine-grained cross-modal alignment regions fail to get efficient exploration. These shortcomings suggest that vanilla RL fine-tuning strategy with a single global advantage often leads to suboptimal results. To address these challenges, we propose OmniNFT, a novel modality-aware online diffusion RL framework with three key innovations: (1) Modality-wise advantage routing, which routes independent per-reward advantages to their respective modality generation branches. (2) Layer-wise gradient surgery, which selectively detaches video-branch gradients on shallow audio layers while retaining those for cross-modal interaction layers. (3) Region-wise loss reweighting, which modulates policy optimization toward critical regions related to audio-video synchronization and fine-grained alignment. Extensive experiments on JavisBench and VBench with the LTX-2 backbone demonstrate that OmniNFT achieves comprehensive improvements in audio and video perceptual quality, cross-modal alignment, and audio-video synchronization.

SkyReels-V4: Multi-modal Video-Audio Generation, Inpainting and Editing model

SkyReels V4 is a unified multi modal video foundation model for joint video audio generation, inpainting, and editing. The model adopts a dual stream Multimodal Diffusion Transformer (MMDiT) architecture, where one branch synthesizes video and the other generates temporally aligned audio, while sharing a powerful text encoder based on the Multimodal Large Language Models (MMLM). SkyReels V4 accepts rich multi modal instructions, including text, images, video clips, masks, and audio references. By combining the MMLMs multi modal instruction following capability with in context learning in the video branch MMDiT, the model can inject fine grained visual guidance under complex conditioning, while the audio branch MMDiT simultaneously leverages audio references to guide sound generation. On the video side, we adopt a channel concatenation formulation that unifies a wide range of inpainting style tasks, such as image to video, video extension, and video editing under a single interface, and naturally extends to vision referenced inpainting and editing via multi modal prompts. SkyReels V4 supports up to 1080p resolution, 32 FPS, and 15 second duration, enabling high fidelity, multi shot, cinema level video generation with synchronized audio. To make such high resolution, long-duration generation computationally feasible, we introduce an efficiency strategy: Joint generation of low resolution full sequences and high-resolution keyframes, followed by dedicated super-resolution and frame interpolation models. To our knowledge, SkyReels V4 is the first video foundation model that simultaneously supports multi-modal input, joint video audio generation, and a unified treatment of generation, inpainting, and editing, while maintaining strong efficiency and quality at cinematic resolutions and durations.

Improving Joint Audio-Video Generation with Cross-Modal Context Learning

The dual-stream transformer architecture-based joint audio-video generation method has become the dominant paradigm in current research. By incorporating pre-trained video diffusion models and audio diffusion models, along with a cross-modal interaction attention module, high-quality, temporally synchronized audio-video content can be generated with minimal training data. In this paper, we first revisit the dual-stream transformer paradigm and further analyze its limitations, including model manifold variations caused by the gating mechanism controlling cross-modal interactions, biases in multi-modal background regions introduced by cross-modal attention, and the inconsistencies in multi-modal classifier-free guidance (CFG) during training and inference, as well as conflicts between multiple conditions. To alleviate these issues, we propose Cross-Modal Context Learning (CCL), equipped with several carefully designed modules. Temporally Aligned RoPE and Partitioning (TARP) effectively enhances the temporal alignment between audio latent and video latent representations. The Learnable Context Tokens (LCT) and Dynamic Context Routing (DCR) in the Cross-Modal Context Attention (CCA) module provide stable unconditional anchors for cross-modal information, while dynamically routing based on different training tasks, further enhancing the model's convergence speed and generation quality. During inference, Unconditional Context Guidance (UCG) leverages the unconditional support provided by LCT to facilitate different forms of CFG, improving train-inference consistency and further alleviating conflicts. Through comprehensive evaluations, CCL achieves state-of-the-art performance compared with recent academic methods while requiring substantially fewer resources.

HuMo: Human-Centric Video Generation via Collaborative Multi-Modal Conditioning

Human-Centric Video Generation (HCVG) methods seek to synthesize human videos from multimodal inputs, including text, image, and audio. Existing methods struggle to effectively coordinate these heterogeneous modalities due to two challenges: the scarcity of training data with paired triplet conditions and the difficulty of collaborating the sub-tasks of subject preservation and audio-visual sync with multimodal inputs. In this work, we present HuMo, a unified HCVG framework for collaborative multimodal control. For the first challenge, we construct a high-quality dataset with diverse and paired text, reference images, and audio. For the second challenge, we propose a two-stage progressive multimodal training paradigm with task-specific strategies. For the subject preservation task, to maintain the prompt following and visual generation abilities of the foundation model, we adopt the minimal-invasive image injection strategy. For the audio-visual sync task, besides the commonly adopted audio cross-attention layer, we propose a focus-by-predicting strategy that implicitly guides the model to associate audio with facial regions. For joint learning of controllabilities across multimodal inputs, building on previously acquired capabilities, we progressively incorporate the audio-visual sync task. During inference, for flexible and fine-grained multimodal control, we design a time-adaptive Classifier-Free Guidance strategy that dynamically adjusts guidance weights across denoising steps. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that HuMo surpasses specialized state-of-the-art methods in sub-tasks, establishing a unified framework for collaborative multimodal-conditioned HCVG. CineDance: Towards Next-Generation Multi-Shot Long-Form Cinematic Audio-Video Generation

The fidelity and structural diversity of training datasets fundamentally determine the capabilities of video generation models. While commercial systems showremarkableabilitytogeneratecinematicnarratives, the progress of open-source models remains limited by the scarcity of high-quality training data. To bridge this gap, we introduce CineDance-1M, a large-scale, open research Text-to-Audio-Video (T2AV) dataset designed specifically for multi-shot, long-form joint audio-video generation. Averaging 92.8 seconds and 24.2 continuous shots per video, it provides configurable, structured annotations for both audio and video modalities. This exceptional quality is achieved through a rigorous three-stage curation pipeline: i) diverse sourcing and comprehensive cleansing, ii) film-theory-inspired narrative parsing, and iii) hierarchical dual-modal captioning. For a comprehensive assessment, we propose CineBench, featuring a diverse prompt suite and a six-dimensional, human-aligned metric system tailored for complex narrative audio-video evaluation. Furthermore, we adapt LTX-2.3 into CineDance, which demonstrates exceptional single-modality quality alongside precise audio-video alignment and robust subject and environment consistency, effectively validating our curation strategy and the high quality of CineDance-1M. We anticipate that this work will serve as a solid foundation for accelerating future research in multi-shot, long-form joint audio-video generation. LynnReal-Omni: Native multi-modal Video Generation for Agentic Visual Workflows

Video diffusion models are stochastic and hard to control: precise content often requires repeated sampling without guaranteed success, and long-horizon scenes drift in appearance, interactions, and temporal coherence. Agentic visual creation provides explicit references, editable 3D scenes, or executable game states for stable control, but does not by itself guarantee high object or character fidelity. Combining the two can enable stable, high-quality generation. To realize this combination, we present LynnReal-Omni, a native multimodal video generation framework built on a 32B shared multimodal diffusion transformer that unifies text-to-video, image-conditioned generation, reference-guided generation, structural control, editing, degraded video restoration, and long-video generation. It accepts heterogeneous visual inputs, including appearance references, editable 3D renders, and game recordings, allowing agents to compose visual conditions within a unified model. We also train a dedicated 27B Flash shared multimodal diffusion transformer for real-time rendering. We build a systematic data pipeline for video cleaning, subject association, multimodal annotation, and aligned control construction, yielding a curated corpus of multi-shot audiovisual segments, and introduce MSAVP, a 100-prompt, 20-metric evaluation design that separates instruction following, generating plausibility, visual quality, temporal behavior, and audio coordination. LynnReal-Omni-Flash further reduces inference cost through model and decoding acceleration, including a lightweight VAE decoder; on one H100, warm generation and decoding of a 22-frame 540p video take 843 ms with LynnReal-Omni and 377 ms with Flash. These results provide a foundation for real-time streaming video generation, making LynnReal-Omni a unified, controllable, and efficient basis for agentic visual creation.

EchoTorrent: Towards Swift, Sustained, and Streaming Multi-Modal Video Generation

Recent multi-modal video generation models have achieved high visual quality, but their prohibitive latency and limited temporal stability hinder real-time deployment. Streaming inference exacerbates these issues, leading to pronounced multimodal degradation, such as spatial blurring, temporal drift, and lip desynchronization, which creates an unresolved efficiency-performance trade-off. To this end, we propose EchoTorrent, a novel schema with a fourfold design: (1) Multi-Teacher Training fine-tunes a pre-trained model on distinct preference domains to obtain specialized domain experts, which sequentially transfer domain-specific knowledge to a student model; (2) Adaptive CFG Calibration (ACC-DMD), which calibrates the audio CFG augmentation errors in DMD via a phased spatiotemporal schedule, eliminating redundant CFG computations and enabling single-pass inference per step; (3) Hybrid Long Tail Forcing, which enforces alignment exclusively on tail frames during long-horizon self-rollout training via a causal-bidirectional hybrid architecture, effectively mitigates spatiotemporal degradation in streaming mode while enhancing fidelity to reference frames; and (4) VAE Decoder Refiner through pixel-domain optimization of the VAE decoder to recover high-frequency details while circumventing latent-space ambiguities. Extensive experiments and analysis demonstrate that EchoTorrent achieves few-pass autoregressive generation with substantially extended temporal consistency, identity preservation, and audio-lip synchronization.

ProAV-DiT: A Projected Latent Diffusion Transformer for Efficient Synchronized Audio-Video Generation

Sounding Video Generation (SVG) remains a challenging task due to the inherent structural misalignment between audio and video, as well as the high computational cost of multimodal data processing. In this paper, we introduce ProAV-DiT, a Projected Latent Diffusion Transformer designed for efficient and synchronized audio-video generation. To address structural inconsistencies, we preprocess raw audio into video-like representations, aligning both the temporal and spatial dimensions between audio and video. At its core, ProAV-DiT adopts a Multi-scale Dual-stream Spatio-Temporal Autoencoder (MDSA), which projects both modalities into a unified latent space using orthogonal decomposition, enabling fine-grained spatiotemporal modeling and semantic alignment. To further enhance temporal coherence and modality-specific fusion, we introduce a multi-scale attention mechanism, which consists of multi-scale temporal self-attention and group cross-modal attention. Furthermore, we stack the 2D latents from MDSA into a unified 3D latent space, which is processed by a spatio-temporal diffusion Transformer. This design efficiently models spatiotemporal dependencies, enabling the generation of high-fidelity synchronized audio-video content while reducing computational overhead. Extensive experiments conducted on standard benchmarks demonstrate that ProAV-DiT outperforms existing methods in both generation quality and computational efficiency.

HunyuanCustom: A Multimodal-Driven Architecture for Customized Video Generation

Customized video generation aims to produce videos featuring specific subjects under flexible user-defined conditions, yet existing methods often struggle with identity consistency and limited input modalities. In this paper, we propose HunyuanCustom, a multi-modal customized video generation framework that emphasizes subject consistency while supporting image, audio, video, and text conditions. Built upon HunyuanVideo, our model first addresses the image-text conditioned generation task by introducing a text-image fusion module based on LLaVA for enhanced multi-modal understanding, along with an image ID enhancement module that leverages temporal concatenation to reinforce identity features across frames. To enable audio- and video-conditioned generation, we further propose modality-specific condition injection mechanisms: an AudioNet module that achieves hierarchical alignment via spatial cross-attention, and a video-driven injection module that integrates latent-compressed conditional video through a patchify-based feature-alignment network. Extensive experiments on single- and multi-subject scenarios demonstrate that HunyuanCustom significantly outperforms state-of-the-art open- and closed-source methods in terms of ID consistency, realism, and text-video alignment. Moreover, we validate its robustness across downstream tasks, including audio and video-driven customized video generation. Our results highlight the effectiveness of multi-modal conditioning and identity-preserving strategies in advancing controllable video generation. MagicInfinite: Generating Infinite Talking Videos with Your Words and Voice

We present MagicInfinite, a novel diffusion Transformer (DiT) framework that overcomes traditional portrait animation limitations, delivering high-fidelity results across diverse character types-realistic humans, full-body figures, and stylized anime characters. It supports varied facial poses, including back-facing views, and animates single or multiple characters with input masks for precise speaker designation in multi-character scenes. Our approach tackles key challenges with three innovations: (1) 3D full-attention mechanisms with a sliding window denoising strategy, enabling infinite video generation with temporal coherence and visual quality across diverse character styles; (2) a two-stage curriculum learning scheme, integrating audio for lip sync, text for expressive dynamics, and reference images for identity preservation, enabling flexible multi-modal control over long sequences; and (3) region-specific masks with adaptive loss functions to balance global textual control and local audio guidance, supporting speaker-specific animations. Efficiency is enhanced via our innovative unified step and cfg distillation techniques, achieving a 20x inference speed boost over the basemodel: generating a 10 second 540x540p video in 10 seconds or 720x720p in 30 seconds on 8 H100 GPUs, without quality loss. Evaluations on our new benchmark demonstrate MagicInfinite's superiority in audio-lip synchronization, identity preservation, and motion naturalness across diverse scenarios. DeepAudio-V1:Towards Multi-Modal Multi-Stage End-to-End Video to Speech and Audio Generation

Currently, high-quality, synchronized audio is synthesized using various multi-modal joint learning frameworks, leveraging video and optional text inputs. In the video-to-audio benchmarks, video-to-audio quality, semantic alignment, and audio-visual synchronization are effectively achieved. However, in real-world scenarios, speech and audio often coexist in videos simultaneously, and the end-to-end generation of synchronous speech and audio given video and text conditions are not well studied. Therefore, we propose an end-to-end multi-modal generation framework that simultaneously produces speech and audio based on video and text conditions. Furthermore, the advantages of video-to-audio (V2A) models for generating speech from videos remain unclear. The proposed framework, DeepAudio, consists of a video-to-audio (V2A) module, a text-to-speech (TTS) module, and a dynamic mixture of modality fusion (MoF) module. In the evaluation, the proposed end-to-end framework achieves state-of-the-art performance on the video-audio benchmark, video-speech benchmark, and text-speech benchmark. In detail, our framework achieves comparable results in the comparison with state-of-the-art models for the video-audio and text-speech benchmarks, and surpassing state-of-the-art models in the video-speech benchmark, with WER 16.57% to 3.15% (+80.99%), SPK-SIM 78.30% to 89.38% (+14.15%), EMO-SIM 66.24% to 75.56% (+14.07%), MCD 8.59 to 7.98 (+7.10%), MCD SL 11.05 to 9.40 (+14.93%) across a variety of dubbing settings.

Tell What You Hear From What You See -- Video to Audio Generation Through Text

The content of visual and audio scenes is multi-faceted such that a video can be paired with various audio and vice-versa. Thereby, in video-to-audio generation task, it is imperative to introduce steering approaches for controlling the generated audio. While Video-to-Audio generation is a well-established generative task, existing methods lack such controllability. In this work, we propose VATT, a multi-modal generative framework that takes a video and an optional text prompt as input, and generates audio and optional textual description of the audio. Such a framework has two advantages: i) Video-to-Audio generation process can be refined and controlled via text which complements the context of visual information, and ii) The model can suggest what audio to generate for the video by generating audio captions. VATT consists of two key modules: VATT Converter, a LLM that is fine-tuned for instructions and includes a projection layer that maps video features to the LLM vector space; and VATT Audio, a transformer that generates audio tokens from visual frames and from optional text prompt using iterative parallel decoding. The audio tokens are converted to a waveform by pretrained neural codec. Experiments show that when VATT is compared to existing video-to-audio generation methods in objective metrics, it achieves competitive performance when the audio caption is not provided. When the audio caption is provided as a prompt, VATT achieves even more refined performance (lowest KLD score of 1.41). Furthermore, subjective studies show that VATT Audio has been chosen as preferred generated audio than audio generated by existing methods. VATT enables controllable video-to-audio generation through text as well as suggesting text prompts for videos through audio captions, unlocking novel applications such as text-guided video-to-audio generation and video-to-audio captioning.

MeViS: A Multi-Modal Dataset for Referring Motion Expression Video Segmentation

This paper proposes a large-scale multi-modal dataset for referring motion expression video segmentation, focusing on segmenting and tracking target objects in videos based on language description of objects' motions. Existing referring video segmentation datasets often focus on salient objects and use language expressions rich in static attributes, potentially allowing the target object to be identified in a single frame. Such datasets underemphasize the role of motion in both videos and languages. To explore the feasibility of using motion expressions and motion reasoning clues for pixel-level video understanding, we introduce MeViS, a dataset containing 33,072 human-annotated motion expressions in both text and audio, covering 8,171 objects in 2,006 videos of complex scenarios. We benchmark 15 existing methods across 4 tasks supported by MeViS, including 6 referring video object segmentation (RVOS) methods, 3 audio-guided video object segmentation (AVOS) methods, 2 referring multi-object tracking (RMOT) methods, and 4 video captioning methods for the newly introduced referring motion expression generation (RMEG) task. The results demonstrate weaknesses and limitations of existing methods in addressing motion expression-guided video understanding. We further analyze the challenges and propose an approach LMPM++ for RVOS/AVOS/RMOT that achieves new state-of-the-art results. Our dataset provides a platform that facilitates the development of motion expression-guided video understanding algorithms in complex video scenes. The proposed MeViS dataset and the method's source code are publicly available at https://henghuiding.com/MeViS/

Enhance Generation Quality of Flow Matching V2A Model via Multi-Step CoT-Like Guidance and Combined Preference Optimization

Creating high-quality sound effects from videos and text prompts requires precise alignment between visual and audio domains, both semantically and temporally, along with step-by-step guidance for professional audio generation. However, current state-of-the-art video-guided audio generation models often fall short of producing high-quality audio for both general and specialized use cases. To address this challenge, we introduce a multi-stage, multi-modal, end-to-end generative framework with Chain-of-Thought-like (CoT-like) guidance learning, termed Chain-of-Perform (CoP). First, we employ a transformer-based network architecture designed to achieve CoP guidance, enabling the generation of both general and professional audio. Second, we implement a multi-stage training framework that follows step-by-step guidance to ensure the generation of high-quality sound effects. Third, we develop a CoP multi-modal dataset, guided by video, to support step-by-step sound effects generation. Evaluation results highlight the advantages of the proposed multi-stage CoP generative framework compared to the state-of-the-art models on a variety of datasets, with FAD 0.79 to 0.74 (+6.33%), CLIP 16.12 to 17.70 (+9.80%) on VGGSound, SI-SDR 1.98dB to 3.35dB (+69.19%), MOS 2.94 to 3.49(+18.71%) on PianoYT-2h, and SI-SDR 2.22dB to 3.21dB (+44.59%), MOS 3.07 to 3.42 (+11.40%) on Piano-10h.

Toward Native Multimodal Modeling: A Roadmap

Multimodal modeling represents a vital step from modality-agnostic reasoning toward world modeling. While early approaches predominantly rely on late-fusion that assembles encoders and frozen language backbones with output heads, recent efforts have shifted the paradigm toward native multimodal modeling (NMM) with the intrinsic integration of modalities for superior multimodal performance. Despite its potential, the design space of native architectures remains insufficiently defined. In this paper, we present the community with a formalized roadmap for this transition. Specifically, we formally define the architectural nativity, distinguishing mid-fusion and early-fusion from non-native paradigms. We further organize the existing native models through the lens of input-output duality into three categories: (i) Multi-to-Text for cross-modal comprehension with text-only output; (ii) Multi-to-Target for scenario-oriented generation, e.g., image, audio and video generation, and (iii) Multi-to-Multi for unified modeling with symmetric input-output. We deliver a comprehensive and industrial-grade investigation into the transition toward the definitive NMM framework, where understanding and generation seamlessly coexist within a unified transformer paradigm. We systematically unpack the end-to-end pipeline from industrial perspectives from architectural coordination, massive data curation, to full-stack training recipes, inference & deployment, and the comprehensive evaluation for truly native modeling.

Towards Multi-Task Multi-Modal Models: A Video Generative Perspective

Advancements in language foundation models have primarily fueled the recent surge in artificial intelligence. In contrast, generative learning of non-textual modalities, especially videos, significantly trails behind language modeling. This thesis chronicles our endeavor to build multi-task models for generating videos and other modalities under diverse conditions, as well as for understanding and compression applications. Given the high dimensionality of visual data, we pursue concise and accurate latent representations. Our video-native spatial-temporal tokenizers preserve high fidelity. We unveil a novel approach to mapping bidirectionally between visual observation and interpretable lexical terms. Furthermore, our scalable visual token representation proves beneficial across generation, compression, and understanding tasks. This achievement marks the first instances of language models surpassing diffusion models in visual synthesis and a video tokenizer outperforming industry-standard codecs. Within these multi-modal latent spaces, we study the design of multi-task generative models. Our masked multi-task transformer excels at the quality, efficiency, and flexibility of video generation. We enable a frozen language model, trained solely on text, to generate visual content. Finally, we build a scalable generative multi-modal transformer trained from scratch, enabling the generation of videos containing high-fidelity motion with the corresponding audio given diverse conditions. Throughout the course, we have shown the effectiveness of integrating multiple tasks, crafting high-fidelity latent representation, and generating multiple modalities. This work suggests intriguing potential for future exploration in generating non-textual data and enabling real-time, interactive experiences across various media forms.

Precise Video-to-Audio Generation with Cross-Modal Alignment in Latent Space

Video-to-audio (V2A) generation aims to synthesize realistic audio that is both semantically consistent with and temporally synchronized to a silent video. Despite recent progress, many methods still rely on multi-stage training, resulting in high computational costs and long runtimes, or transform visual input into text to leverage pretrained text-to-audio models, sacrificing fine-grained temporal cues. To overcome these limitations, we propose Flowley, an end-to-end, single-stage training architecture that produces soundtracks by combining visual features with textual prompts. Crucially, we introduce Progressive Soft-masked Cross-Attention, which embeds audio-visual synchronization directly within its attention mechanism, adding zero additional computational cost compared to standard attention layers. We further observe that existing V2A benchmarks lack sound-oriented descriptive captions, which can potentially degrade the quality of the synthesized audio. To remedy this, we propose SoundCap, a plug-and-play pipeline for creating detailed, sound-aware captions that guide the model. Remarkably, without integrating any pretrained audio-visual alignment modules, Flowley achieves state-of-the-art performance on VGGSound across multiple metrics. Moreover, by incorporating SoundCap, we further exceed the performance of the strongest existing close-sourced methods in terms of audio quality in the zero-shot setting.

Multi-Agent Game Generation and Evaluation via Audio-Visual Recordings

While AI excels at generating text, audio, images, and videos, creating interactive audio-visual content such as video games remains challenging. Current LLMs can generate JavaScript games and animations, but lack automated evaluation metrics and struggle with complex content that normally requires teams of humans working for many months (multi-shot, multi-agents) using assets made by artists. To tackle these issues, we built a new metric and a multi-agent system. We propose AVR-Eval, a relative metric for multimedia content quality using Audio-Visual Recordings (AVRs). An omni-modal model (processing text, video, and audio) compares the AVRs of two contents, with a text model reviewing evaluations to determine superiority. We show that AVR-Eval properly identifies good from broken or mismatched content. We built AVR-Agent, a multi-agent system generating JavaScript code from a bank of multimedia assets (audio, images, 3D models). The coding agent selects relevant assets, generates multiple initial codes, uses AVR-Eval to identify the best version, and iteratively improves it through omni-modal agent feedback from the AVR. We run experiments on games and animations with AVR-Eval (win rate of content A against B). We find that content generated by AVR-Agent has a significantly higher win rate against content made through one-shot generation. However, models struggle to leverage custom assets and AVR feedback effectively, showing no higher win rate. This reveals a critical gap: while humans benefit from high-quality assets and audio-visual feedback, current coding models do not seem to utilize these resources as effectively, highlighting fundamental differences between human and machine content creation approaches.

InteractiveOmni: A Unified Omni-modal Model for Audio-Visual Multi-turn Dialogue

We introduce InteractiveOmni, a unified and open-source omni-modal large language model for audio-visual multi-turn interaction, ranging from 4B to 8B parameters, designed to lead the field of lightweight models by offering comprehensive omni-modal understanding and speech generation capabilities. To achieve this, we integrate the vision encoder, audio encoder, large language model, and speech decoder into a unified model for understanding and generation tasks. We design a multi-stage training strategy to ensure robust cross-modal capabilities, including pre-training for omni-modal understanding, followed by post-training with speech conversation and audio-visual interaction. To enable human-like long-term conversational ability, we meticulously curate a multi-turn training dataset that enhances the model's ability to handle complex and multi-turn interactions. To effectively evaluate the multi-turn memory and speech interaction capabilities, we construct the multi-modal multi-turn memory benchmark and the multi-turn speech interaction benchmark. Experiments demonstrate that InteractiveOmni significantly outperforms leading open-source models and provides a more intelligent multi-turn audio-visual experience, particularly in its long-term memory capabilities. Notably, InteractiveOmni-4B is comparable to the much larger model like Qwen2.5-Omni-7B on general benchmarks, and it can retain 97% of the performance of the InteractiveOmni-8B while utilizing only 50% of the model size. Achieving state-of-the-art results against similarly sized models across image, audio, video understanding, and speech generation tasks, InteractiveOmni is an accessible, open-source foundation for next-generation intelligent interactive systems.

NExT-OMNI: Towards Any-to-Any Omnimodal Foundation Models with Discrete Flow Matching

Next-generation multimodal foundation models capable of any-to-any cross-modal generation and multi-turn interaction will serve as core components of artificial general intelligence systems, playing a pivotal role in human-machine interaction. However, most existing multimodal models remain constrained by autoregressive architectures, whose inherent limitations prevent a balanced integration of understanding and generation capabilities. Although hybrid and decoupling strategies have been explored to address these tasks within unified frameworks separately, their redundant, non-integrated designs limit their applicability to broader scenarios, such as cross-modal retrieval. In this work, we introduce NExT-OMNI, an open-source omnimodal foundation model that achieves unified modeling through discrete flow paradigms. By leveraging metric-induced probability paths and kinetic optimal velocities, NExT-OMNI natively supports any-to-any understanding and generation with enhanced response efficiency, while enabling broader application scenarios through concise unified representations rather than task-decoupled designs. Trained on large-scale interleaved text, image, video, and audio data, NExT-OMNI delivers competitive performance on multimodal generation and understanding benchmarks, while outperforming prior unified models in multi-turn multimodal interaction and cross-modal retrieval, highlighting its architectural advantages as a next-generation multimodal foundation model. To advance further research, we release training details, data protocols, and open-source both the code and model checkpoints.

Beyond Coherence: Benchmarking Professional Editing-Technique Execution in Multi-Shot Audio-Video Generation

Recent multi-shot audio-video generators can produce increasingly coherent and cinematic outputs, but coherence does not imply the ability to execute editing techniques. Professional editing depends on shot structure, transition grammar, audio-video cut relations, and montage, yet existing benchmarks largely rely on proxies such as content quality, synchronization, or physical plausibility, systematically missing whether such editing instructions are actually executed. We introduce CutCraft, the first benchmark for editing-technique execution in multi-shot audio-video generation. CutCraft extends structured multi-shot prompts with explicit editing specifications and is paired with a hierarchical hybrid evaluation framework that combines shot-structure alignment, expert-model metrics, tool-grounded multimodal judgment, and rubric-based question answering. Beyond evaluation, we design an agentic editing baseline that decomposes generation into planning, shot-level synthesis, and post-hoc composition, explicitly realizing editing semantics such as J-cuts, L-cuts, and transition timing. Across 13 state-of-the-art closed- and open-source models, CutCraft reveals a consistent gap between coherence and editing-technique execution: current systems often produce plausible multi-shot videos yet fail to execute editorial instructions reliably. We find unstable shot structures, weak control of transition execution, and sharp degradation on higher-order montage, while aesthetic quality is only weakly correlated with editing-technique compliance. The benchmark and metrics, and the editing agent baseline are available at https://github.com/AlibabaResearch/cut-craft-bench.

YingVideo-MV: Music-Driven Multi-Stage Video Generation

While diffusion model for audio-driven avatar video generation have achieved notable process in synthesizing long sequences with natural audio-visual synchronization and identity consistency, the generation of music-performance videos with camera motions remains largely unexplored. We present YingVideo-MV, the first cascaded framework for music-driven long-video generation. Our approach integrates audio semantic analysis, an interpretable shot planning module (MV-Director), temporal-aware diffusion Transformer architectures, and long-sequence consistency modeling to enable automatic synthesis of high-quality music performance videos from audio signals. We construct a large-scale Music-in-the-Wild Dataset by collecting web data to support the achievement of diverse, high-quality results. Observing that existing long-video generation methods lack explicit camera motion control, we introduce a camera adapter module that embeds camera poses into latent noise. To enhance continulity between clips during long-sequence inference, we further propose a time-aware dynamic window range strategy that adaptively adjust denoising ranges based on audio embedding. Comprehensive benchmark tests demonstrate that YingVideo-MV achieves outstanding performance in generating coherent and expressive music videos, and enables precise music-motion-camera synchronization. AptAvatar: Fast and Vivid Long-Form Audio-Driven Video Generation for Production-Ready Avatars

Production-ready audio-driven avatar generation requires efficient inference without sacrificing fidelity or motion expressiveness. However, existing acceleration methods often compromise quality through restrictive architectural choices, such as causal attention and short temporal horizons, or by reducing model capacity and resolution. Without such compromises, we propose AptAvatar, a 14B-parameter long-form audio-driven avatar generation framework that delivers fast and expressive inference. For efficiency in production-level applications, AptAvatar addresses the extreme two-step generation challenge. To bridge the gap between the multi-step teacher model and the two-step student model, we introduce Endpoint-Anchored Distribution Distillation. It augments vanilla distribution matching with a dedicated Anchor Score Estimator trained on the trajectory-endpoint distribution defined from a frozen pretrained 4-step bridge generator. This provides an attainable endpoint-level anchor for the evolving two-step student. To improve long-horizon consistency, we further introduce Self-Generated History Replay, which reuses cached outputs from earlier generator checkpoints as history conditions during chunk-wise training. This approximates inference-time conditioning on self-generated histories without costly online rollouts, mitigating quality degradation from accumulated history errors. Extensive experiments demonstrate that AptAvatar generates vivid 720p long-form avatar videos with only 2 NFEs, achieving a 60x speedup while preserving visual fidelity and long-horizon identity. Mutual Forcing: Dual-Mode Self-Evolution for Fast Autoregressive Audio-Video Character Generation

In this work, we propose Mutual Forcing, a framework for fast autoregressive audio-video generation with long-horizon audio-video synchronization. Our approach addresses two key challenges: joint audio-video modeling and fast autoregressive generation. To ease joint audio-video optimization, we adopt a two-stage training strategy: we first train uni-modal generators and then couple them into a unified audio-video model for joint training on paired data. For streaming generation, we ask whether a native fast causal audio-video model can be trained directly, instead of following existing streaming distillation pipelines that typically train a bidirectional model first and then convert it into a causal generator through multiple distillation stages. Our answer is Mutual Forcing, which builds directly on native autoregressive model and integrates few-step and multi-step generation within a single weight-shared model, enabling self-distillation and improved training-inference consistency. The multi-step mode improves the few-step mode via self-distillation, while the few-step mode generates historical context during training to improve training-inference consistency; because the two modes share parameters, these two effects reinforce each other within a single model. Compared with prior approaches such as Self-Forcing, Mutual Forcing removes the need for an additional bidirectional teacher model, supports more flexible training sequence lengths, reduces training overhead, and allows the model to improve directly from real paired data rather than a fixed teacher. Experiments show that Mutual Forcing matches or surpasses strong baselines that require around 50 sampling steps while using only 4 to 8 steps, demonstrating substantial advantages in both efficiency and quality. Bridging Your Imagination with Audio-Video Generation via a Unified Director

Existing AI-driven video creation systems typically treat script drafting and key-shot design as two disjoint tasks: the former relies on large language models, while the latter depends on image generation models. We argue that these two tasks should be unified within a single framework, as logical reasoning and imaginative thinking are both fundamental qualities of a film director. In this work, we propose UniMAGE, a unified director model that bridges user prompts with well-structured scripts, thereby empowering non-experts to produce long-context, multi-shot films by leveraging existing audio-video generation models. To achieve this, we employ the Mixture-of-Transformers architecture that unifies text and image generation. To further enhance narrative logic and keyframe consistency, we introduce a ``first interleaving, then disentangling'' training paradigm. Specifically, we first perform Interleaved Concept Learning, which utilizes interleaved text-image data to foster the model's deeper understanding and imaginative interpretation of scripts. We then conduct Disentangled Expert Learning, which decouples script writing from keyframe generation, enabling greater flexibility and creativity in storytelling. Extensive experiments demonstrate that UniMAGE achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models, generating logically coherent video scripts and visually consistent keyframe images.

Klear: Unified Multi-Task Audio-Video Joint Generation

Audio-video joint generation has progressed rapidly, yet substantial challenges still remain. Non-commercial approaches still suffer audio-visual asynchrony, poor lip-speech alignment, and unimodal degradation, which can be stemmed from weak audio-visual correspondence modeling, limited generalization, and scarce high-quality dense-caption data. To address these issues, we introduce Klear and delve into three axes--model architecture, training strategy, and data curation. Architecturally, we adopt a single-tower design with unified DiT blocks and an Omni-Full Attention mechanism, achieving tight audio-visual alignment and strong scalability. Training-wise, we adopt a progressive multitask regime--random modality masking to joint optimization across tasks, and a multistage curriculum, yielding robust representations, strengthening A-V aligned world knowledge, and preventing unimodal collapse. For datasets, we present the first large-scale audio-video dataset with dense captions, and introduce a novel automated data-construction pipeline which annotates and filters millions of diverse, high-quality, strictly aligned audio-video-caption triplets. Building on this, Klear scales to large datasets, delivering high-fidelity, semantically and temporally aligned, instruction-following generation in both joint and unimodal settings while generalizing robustly to out-of-distribution scenarios. Across tasks, it substantially outperforms prior methods by a large margin and achieves performance comparable to Veo 3, offering a unified, scalable path toward next-generation audio-video synthesis.

SynchroRaMa : Lip-Synchronized and Emotion-Aware Talking Face Generation via Multi-Modal Emotion Embedding

Audio-driven talking face generation has received growing interest, particularly for applications requiring expressive and natural human-avatar interaction. However, most existing emotion-aware methods rely on a single modality (either audio or image) for emotion embedding, limiting their ability to capture nuanced affective cues. Additionally, most methods condition on a single reference image, restricting the model's ability to represent dynamic changes in actions or attributes across time. To address these issues, we introduce SynchroRaMa, a novel framework that integrates a multi-modal emotion embedding by combining emotional signals from text (via sentiment analysis) and audio (via speech-based emotion recognition and audio-derived valence-arousal features), enabling the generation of talking face videos with richer and more authentic emotional expressiveness and fidelity. To ensure natural head motion and accurate lip synchronization, SynchroRaMa includes an audio-to-motion (A2M) module that generates motion frames aligned with the input audio. Finally, SynchroRaMa incorporates scene descriptions generated by Large Language Model (LLM) as additional textual input, enabling it to capture dynamic actions and high-level semantic attributes. Conditioning the model on both visual and textual cues enhances temporal consistency and visual realism. Quantitative and qualitative experiments on benchmark datasets demonstrate that SynchroRaMa outperforms the state-of-the-art, achieving improvements in image quality, expression preservation, and motion realism. A user study further confirms that SynchroRaMa achieves higher subjective ratings than competing methods in overall naturalness, motion diversity, and video smoothness. Bind-Your-Avatar: Multi-Talking-Character Video Generation with Dynamic 3D-mask-based Embedding Router

Recent years have witnessed remarkable advances in audio-driven talking head generation. However, existing approaches predominantly focus on single-character scenarios. While some methods can create separate conversation videos between two individuals, the critical challenge of generating unified conversation videos with multiple physically co-present characters sharing the same spatial environment remains largely unaddressed. This setting presents two key challenges: audio-to-character correspondence control and the lack of suitable datasets featuring multi-character talking videos within the same scene. To address these challenges, we introduce Bind-Your-Avatar, an MM-DiT-based model specifically designed for multi-talking-character video generation in the same scene. Specifically, we propose (1) A novel framework incorporating a fine-grained Embedding Router that binds `who' and `speak what' together to address the audio-to-character correspondence control. (2) Two methods for implementing a 3D-mask embedding router that enables frame-wise, fine-grained control of individual characters, with distinct loss functions based on observed geometric priors and a mask refinement strategy to enhance the accuracy and temporal smoothness of the predicted masks. (3) The first dataset, to the best of our knowledge, specifically constructed for multi-talking-character video generation, and accompanied by an open-source data processing pipeline, and (4) A benchmark for the dual-talking-characters video generation, with extensive experiments demonstrating superior performance over multiple state-of-the-art methods.

Quantized GAN for Complex Music Generation from Dance Videos

We present Dance2Music-GAN (D2M-GAN), a novel adversarial multi-modal framework that generates complex musical samples conditioned on dance videos. Our proposed framework takes dance video frames and human body motions as input, and learns to generate music samples that plausibly accompany the corresponding input. Unlike most existing conditional music generation works that generate specific types of mono-instrumental sounds using symbolic audio representations (e.g., MIDI), and that usually rely on pre-defined musical synthesizers, in this work we generate dance music in complex styles (e.g., pop, breaking, etc.) by employing a Vector Quantized (VQ) audio representation, and leverage both its generality and high abstraction capacity of its symbolic and continuous counterparts. By performing an extensive set of experiments on multiple datasets, and following a comprehensive evaluation protocol, we assess the generative qualities of our proposal against alternatives. The attained quantitative results, which measure the music consistency, beats correspondence, and music diversity, demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed method. Last but not least, we curate a challenging dance-music dataset of in-the-wild TikTok videos, which we use to further demonstrate the efficacy of our approach in real-world applications -- and which we hope to serve as a starting point for relevant future research.

MultiSoundGen: Video-to-Audio Generation for Multi-Event Scenarios via SlowFast Contrastive Audio-Visual Pretraining and Direct Preference Optimization

Current video-to-audio (V2A) methods struggle in complex multi-event scenarios (video scenarios involving multiple sound sources, sound events, or transitions) due to two critical limitations. First, existing methods face challenges in precisely aligning intricate semantic information together with rapid dynamic features. Second, foundational training lacks quantitative preference optimization for semantic-temporal alignment and audio quality. As a result, it fails to enhance integrated generation quality in cluttered multi-event scenes. To address these core limitations, this study proposes a novel V2A framework: MultiSoundGen. It introduces direct preference optimization (DPO) into the V2A domain, leveraging audio-visual pretraining (AVP) to enhance performance in complex multi-event scenarios. Our contributions include two key innovations: the first is SlowFast Contrastive AVP (SF-CAVP), a pioneering AVP model with a unified dual-stream architecture. SF-CAVP explicitly aligns core semantic representations and rapid dynamic features of audio-visual data to handle multi-event complexity; second, we integrate the DPO method into V2A task and propose AVP-Ranked Preference Optimization (AVP-RPO). It uses SF-CAVP as a reward model to quantify and prioritize critical semantic-temporal matches while enhancing audio quality. Experiments demonstrate that MultiSoundGen achieves state-of-the-art (SOTA) performance in multi-event scenarios, delivering comprehensive gains across distribution matching, audio quality, semantic alignment, and temporal synchronization. PrismAudio: Decomposed Chain-of-Thoughts and Multi-dimensional Rewards for Video-to-Audio Generation

Video-to-Audio (V2A) generation requires balancing four critical perceptual dimensions: semantic consistency, audio-visual temporal synchrony, aesthetic quality, and spatial accuracy; yet existing methods suffer from objective entanglement that conflates competing goals in single loss functions and lack human preference alignment. We introduce PrismAudio, the first framework to integrate Reinforcement Learning into V2A generation with specialized Chain-of-Thought (CoT) planning. Our approach decomposes monolithic reasoning into four specialized CoT modules (Semantic, Temporal, Aesthetic, and Spatial CoT), each paired with targeted reward functions. This CoT-reward correspondence enables multidimensional RL optimization that guides the model to jointly generate better reasoning across all perspectives, solving the objective entanglement problem while preserving interpretability. To make this optimization computationally practical, we propose Fast-GRPO, which employs hybrid ODE-SDE sampling that dramatically reduces the training overhead compared to existing GRPO implementations. We also introduce AudioCanvas, a rigorous benchmark that is more distributionally balanced and covers more realistically diverse and challenging scenarios than existing datasets, with 300 single-event classes and 501 multi-event samples. Experimental results demonstrate that PrismAudio achieves state-of-the-art performance across all four perceptual dimensions on both the in-domain VGGSound test set and out-of-domain AudioCanvas benchmark. VidAudio-Bench: Benchmarking V2A and VT2A Generation across Four Audio Categories

Video-to-Audio (V2A) generation is essential for immersive multimedia experiences, yet its evaluation remains underexplored. Existing benchmarks typically assess diverse audio types under a unified protocol, overlooking the fine-grained requirements of distinct audio categories. To address this gap, we propose VidAudio-Bench, a multi-task benchmark for V2A evaluation with four key features: (1) Broad Coverage: It encompasses four representative audio categories - sound effects, music, speech, and singing - under both V2A and Video-Text-to-Audio (VT2A) settings. (2) Extensive Evaluation: It comprises 1,634 video-text pairs and benchmarks 11 state-of-the-art generation models. (3) Comprehensive Metrics: It introduces 13 task-specific, reference-free metrics to systematically assess audio quality, video-audio consistency, and text-audio consistency. (4) Human Alignment: It validates all metrics through subjective studies, demonstrating strong consistency with human preferences. Experimental results reveal that current V2A models perform poorly in speech and singing compared to sound effects. Our VT2A results further highlight a fundamental tension between instruction following and visually grounded generation: stronger visual conditioning improves video-audio alignment, but often at the cost of generating the intended audio category. These findings establish VidAudio-Bench as a comprehensive and scalable framework for diagnosing V2A systems and provide new insights into multimodal audio generation.

Beyond Boundary Frames: Audio-Visual Semantic Guidance for Context-Aware Video Interpolation

Handling fast, complex, and highly non-linear motion patterns has long posed challenges for video frame interpolation. Although recent diffusion-based approaches improve upon traditional optical-flow-based methods, they still struggle to cover diverse application scenarios and often fail to produce sharp, temporally consistent frames in fine-grained motion tasks such as audio-visual synchronized interpolation. To address these limitations, we introduce BBF (Beyond Boundary Frames), a context-aware video frame interpolation framework, which could be guided by audio/visual semantics. First, we enhance the input design of the interpolation model so that it can flexibly handle multiple conditional modalities, including text, audio, images, and video. Second, we propose a decoupled multimodal fusion mechanism that sequentially injects different conditional signals into a DiT backbone. Finally, to maintain the generation abilities of the foundation model, we adopt a progressive multi-stage training paradigm, where the start-end frame difference embedding is used to dynamically adjust both the data sampling and the loss weighting. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that BBF outperforms specialized state-of-the-art methods on both generic interpolation and audio-visual synchronized interpolation tasks, establishing a unified framework for video frame interpolation under coordinated multi-channel conditioning.

Multi2AV-Safety: Benchmarking Safety in Multimodal-to-Audio-Video Generation

Audio-video generation is rapidly moving from prompt-driven synthesis toward multimodal conditioning, where text, images, audio, and video can jointly shape the generated output. This shift changes the nature of safety evaluation: harmful intent may no longer reside in any single input, but instead emerge from how otherwise benign or weakly harmful conditions interact across modalities and time. Existing safety benchmarks, however, remain largely prompt-centric or tied to fixed conditioning interfaces, leaving such compositional risks difficult to study systematically. To bridge this gap, we introduce Multi2AV-Safety, the first safety benchmark, to the best of our knowledge, to cover all 11 non-singleton T/I/A/V conditioning configurations for audio-video generation, comprising 11,024 attack instances. Evaluation on Multi2AV-Safety reveals systematic weaknesses in representative multimodal safety guards across attack mechanisms and harm-evidence structures. Our evaluation reveals two complementary failure modes: harmful semantics can emerge from the combination of individually benign inputs, while explicit harmful cues can become harder to detect when mixed with benign multimodal context. Together, these results identify compositional risk perception as a central capability gap in safeguarding multimodal-conditioned audio-video generation: current safety guards fail to reliably integrate safety evidence across modalities and time, even when all conditioning inputs are observable. The dataset will be publicly released in October 2026.

MM-Sonate: Multimodal Controllable Audio-Video Generation with Zero-Shot Voice Cloning

Joint audio-video generation aims to synthesize synchronized multisensory content, yet current unified models struggle with fine-grained acoustic control, particularly for identity-preserving speech. Existing approaches either suffer from temporal misalignment due to cascaded generation or lack the capability to perform zero-shot voice cloning within a joint synthesis framework. In this work, we present MM-Sonate, a multimodal flow-matching framework that unifies controllable audio-video joint generation with zero-shot voice cloning capabilities. Unlike prior works that rely on coarse semantic descriptions, MM-Sonate utilizes a unified instruction-phoneme input to enforce strict linguistic and temporal alignment. To enable zero-shot voice cloning, we introduce a timbre injection mechanism that effectively decouples speaker identity from linguistic content. Furthermore, addressing the limitations of standard classifier-free guidance in multimodal settings, we propose a noise-based negative conditioning strategy that utilizes natural noise priors to significantly enhance acoustic fidelity. Empirical evaluations demonstrate that MM-Sonate establishes new state-of-the-art performance in joint generation benchmarks, significantly outperforming baselines in lip synchronization and speech intelligibility, while achieving voice cloning fidelity comparable to specialized Text-to-Speech systems.

AVTok: 1D Unified Tokenization for Holistic Audio-Video Generation

Audio-video generation has recently gained unprecedented research attention, aiming to synthesize high-quality sounding video content with fine-grained synchronization and semantic alignment between the auditory and visual components. The preceding methods predominantly adopt a dual-branch design with separate tokenization and generation modules per modality, neglecting the representation gap while necessitating intensive computational resources for proper training. Inspired by recent advancements in one-dimensional visual tokenization, we present AVTok, a novel unified tokenizer designated for holistic audio-video generation. AVTok features a dual-stream transformer-based architecture with shared encoder-decoder and modal-specific learnable queries to efficiently and effectively encode an audio-video pair into a compact one-dimensional latent representation with a unified codebook. To cope with the heterogeneous information imbalance that hinders AVTok from exploiting aligned audio-visual information, we devise a hierarchical training strategy to progressively realize reconstruction capabilities for each modality. Extensive experiments demonstrate that AVTok excels both in audio-video reconstruction and when integrated into downstream pipelines for audio-to-video, video-to-audio, and class-conditional joint audio-video generation. AVTok paves the way for the challenge of joint audio-video tokenization and provides a potential direction to build unified large multimodal models for audio-video generation.

Omni-Customizer: End-to-End MultiModal Customization for Joint Audio-Video Generation

The landscape of joint audio and video generation has been fundamentally transformed by the advent of powerful foundation models. Despite these strides, achieving cohesive multimodal customization for the simultaneous preservation of visual identities and vocal timbres across multiple interacting subjects remains largely underexplored. To bridge this gap, we present Omni-Customizer, an end-to-end framework targeted at the precise binding and seamless fusion of multimodal identity information. Specifically, we introduce an Omni-Context Fusion (OCF) module that effectively enriches the base textual prompt with dense, multimodal identity cues, along with a Masked TTS Cross-Attention (MTP-CA) mechanism explicitly designed to prevent the severe "speech leakage" problem. Within this architecture, we propose Semantic-Anchored Multimodal RoPE (SA-MRoPE) to anchor visual and audio reference tokens, along with TTS embeddings, to their corresponding semantic descriptions, enabling structured multimodal fusion and robust identity binding. Furthermore, we devise a comprehensive training strategy that incorporates interleaved audio-video scheduling to rapidly adapt the audio branch to multilingual scenarios without degrading foundational priors, and a progressive in-pair to cross-pair curriculum to facilitate the learning of high-level and robust identity features. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Omni-Customizer achieves state-of-the-art performance in dual-modal customized generation, excelling across visual identity similarity, timbre consistency, precise audio-video synchronization, and overall video-audio fidelity.

Do Joint Audio-Video Generation Models Understand Physics?

Joint audio-video generation models are rapidly approaching professional production quality, raising a central question: do they understand audio-visual physics, or merely generate plausible sounds and frames that violate real-world consistency? We introduce AV-Phys Bench, a benchmark for evaluating physical commonsense in joint audio-video generation. AV-Phys Bench tests models across three scene categories: Steady State, Event Transition, and Environment Transition. It covers physics-grounded subcategories drawn from real-world scenes, plus Anti-AV-Physics prompts that deliberately request physically inconsistent audio-video behavior. Each generation is evaluated along five dimensions: visual semantic adherence, audio semantic adherence, visual physical commonsense, audio physical commonsense, and cross-modal physical commonsense. Across three proprietary and four open-source models, we find that Seedance 2.0 performs best overall, but all models remain far from robust physical understanding. Performance drops sharply on event-driven and environment-driven transitions, and even strong proprietary systems collapse on Anti-AV-Physics prompts. We further introduce AV-Phys Agent, a ReAct-style evaluator that combines a multimodal language model with deterministic acoustic measurement tools, producing rankings that closely align with human ratings. Our results identify cross-modal physical consistency and transition-driven scene dynamics as key open challenges for joint audio-video generation.

DreamX-Creator: Democratizing Native Audio-Video Generation at 2K Resolution

Recent video generators often omit audio or synthesize it in a separate stage, limiting reciprocal modeling of visual dynamics and acoustic events. We present DreamX-Creator 1.0, a compact native joint audio-video generation system centered on a 7B generator. Conditioned on a first frame and a text prompt, the generator jointly denoises modality-specialized audio and video streams. The streams are processed independently in the first half of the network and coupled in the latter half through Gated Cross-Modal Attention, whose token- and head-wise output gates modulate each active cross-modal attention-head output. A unified Audio-Video Data System constructs and filters temporally coherent clips, produces structured multimodal annotations, and organizes clips into capability-oriented data pools. Progressive Joint Training comprises two audio-video pre-training stages followed by High-Quality Finetuning. Audio-Video Reinforcement Learning further post-trains the generator with Modality-Aware Multimodal Feedback that routes video-, audio-, and cross-modal feedback to the corresponding streams. For high-resolution output, our Autoregressive 1-Step 2K Refinement pipeline adapts a bidirectional multi-step teacher into an autoregressive multi-step refiner and distills it into a student requiring one denoising evaluation per temporal chunk. Overall, DreamX-Creator 1.0 achieves native, synchronized audio-video generation with performance competitive with state-of-the-art open-source systems. By releasing our compact 7B generator and 2K Refiner, we seek to democratize native audio-video generation and provide an accessible foundation for future research in unified audio-video generative modeling.

AV-GRPO: Modality-Anchored Decoupling Diffusion Reinforcement Learning for Joint Audio-Video Generation

Recent years have witnessed major progress in joint audio-video generation. Existing models still suffer from limited per-modality fidelity, insufficient text-modality alignment and weak cross-modal synchronization. While reinforcement-learning post-training offers a promising remedy, directly adapting it to joint audio-video generation is challenging. Heterogeneous multimodal rewards entangle learning signals and complicate credit assignment. Joint optimization of two modality towers is computationally expensive given their divergent dynamics. Moreover, synchronization evaluation difficulty depends on paired samples, preventing fair reward comparisons. We propose AV-GRPO, a modality-anchored online diffusion RL framework, and 5DAV, a decoupled, difficulty-controllable training dataset. AV-GRPO includes three key modules: (1) modality-anchored rollouts to disentangle learning signals and stabilize difficulty; (2) trajectory-locked frozen-tower optimization to reduce cost and reassign credit; (3) adaptive objectives and perturbation strengths tailored to modality-specific dynamics. This converts coupled multimodal preference learning into unimodal subproblems for precise reward attribution and better synchronization. Our 5DAV dataset decouples samples across five dimensions for systematic training. Experiments on JavisBench and VABench demonstrate AV-GRPO outperforms LTX-2.3 in generation quality, semantic alignment and cross-modal synchronization under LoRA and full fine-tuning. Ablations confirm our designs. Code and data: https://github.com/zhiyuxu03/AV-GRPO

Inference-Time Scaling for Joint Audio-Video Generation

Joint audio-video generation aims to synthesize realistic audio-video pairs that are both semantically aligned with text prompts and precisely synchronized. While existing joint audio-video generation models often require substantial training resources to improve fidelity, Inference-Time Scaling (ITS) has recently emerged as a promising training-free alternative in single-modality domains. However, extending ITS from a single modality to multimodal domains is non-trivial, as it requires balancing multiple heterogeneous objectives. In this paper, we present the first comprehensive study of ITS for joint audio-video generation. We first demonstrate that a multi-verifier framework is essential to address the limitations of single-objective guidance, including asymmetric performance trade-offs and verifier hacking. Through systematic analysis, we then identify an optimal multi-verifier combination that yields balanced improvements across all quality dimensions. Finally, to effectively aggregate diverse reward signals, we propose Adaptive Reward Weighting (ARW), a novel test-time optimization algorithm. ARW treats reward aggregation as an online optimization problem, utilizing learnable parameters to calibrate reward variances without requiring prior knowledge of reward distributions, thereby ensuring robust multi-objective selection. Experimental results on VGGSound and JavisBench-mini benchmarks demonstrate that our framework significantly enhances semantic alignment, perceptual quality, and audio-visual synchronization of generated outputs. Synthesized samples and code are available on the project page: https://jung-jaemin.github.io/ITS-AVGen-Proj.

OmniVR: Joint Video-Audio Conditional Generation for Restoring Degraded Historical Films

Historical films suffer from co-occurring visual and audio degradations---blur, noise, flicker, hiss, clipping, and dropout---yet existing methods restore each modality independently, leaving quality gaps and cross-modal inconsistency. We present OmniVR, the first joint audio-video generative restoration model. Built upon a 22B-parameter audio-video generation backbone, OmniVR formulates restoration as conditional generation within a unified multimodal DiT: the low-quality video and audio are encoded as latent conditions, combined with a fixed restoration prompt, and jointly denoised to recover visual structure, temporal motion, and acoustic detail under one coordinated objective. Three key designs enable this adaptation: (1) a joint audio-video degradation pipeline that simulates real old-film characteristics from Internet-collected data; (2) an architecture-preserving text-to-audio-video (T2AV) to audio-video-to-audio-video (AV2AV) transition with prompt annealing that maximally retains the generative prior; and (3) first-frame image-to-video (I2V) anchoring with loss reweighting and waveform supervision for long-video extrapolation and audio fidelity. We also propose OmniVRBench, the first benchmark that evaluates audio-video restoration across visual quality, audio quality, temporal consistency, and audio-visual synchrony on 200 real historical clips. OmniVR surpasses all prior methods on all six visual metrics, achieves the best audio quality, and produces natural colorization---the first method to jointly address all three aspects. Code and weights will be publicly released. Project Page: https://xin1u.github.io/OminiVR_PAGE/

JavisDiT++: Unified Modeling and Optimization for Joint Audio-Video Generation

AIGC has rapidly expanded from text-to-image generation toward high-quality multimodal synthesis across video and audio. Within this context, joint audio-video generation (JAVG) has emerged as a fundamental task that produces synchronized and semantically aligned sound and vision from textual descriptions. However, compared with advanced commercial models such as Veo3, existing open-source methods still suffer from limitations in generation quality, temporal synchrony, and alignment with human preferences. To bridge the gap, this paper presents JavisDiT++, a concise yet powerful framework for unified modeling and optimization of JAVG. First, we introduce a modality-specific mixture-of-experts (MS-MoE) design that enables cross-modal interaction efficacy while enhancing single-modal generation quality. Then, we propose a temporal-aligned RoPE (TA-RoPE) strategy to achieve explicit, frame-level synchronization between audio and video tokens. Besides, we develop an audio-video direct preference optimization (AV-DPO) method to align model outputs with human preference across quality, consistency, and synchrony dimensions. Built upon Wan2.1-1.3B-T2V, our model achieves state-of-the-art performance merely with around 1M public training entries, significantly outperforming prior approaches in both qualitative and quantitative evaluations. Comprehensive ablation studies have been conducted to validate the effectiveness of our proposed modules. All the code, model, and dataset are released at https://JavisVerse.github.io/JavisDiT2-page.

LiveTalk: Real-Time Multimodal Interactive Video Diffusion via Improved On-Policy Distillation

Real-time video generation via diffusion is essential for building general-purpose multimodal interactive AI systems. However, the simultaneous denoising of all video frames with bidirectional attention via an iterative process in diffusion models prevents real-time interaction. While existing distillation methods can make the model autoregressive and reduce sampling steps to mitigate this, they focus primarily on text-to-video generation, leaving the human-AI interaction unnatural and less efficient. This paper targets real-time interactive video diffusion conditioned on a multimodal context, including text, image, and audio, to bridge the gap. Given the observation that the leading on-policy distillation approach Self Forcing encounters challenges (visual artifacts like flickering, black frames, and quality degradation) with multimodal conditioning, we investigate an improved distillation recipe with emphasis on the quality of condition inputs as well as the initialization and schedule for the on-policy optimization. On benchmarks for multimodal-conditioned (audio, image, and text) avatar video generation including HDTF, AVSpeech, and CelebV-HQ, our distilled model matches the visual quality of the full-step, bidirectional baselines of similar or larger size with 20x less inference cost and latency. Further, we integrate our model with audio language models and long-form video inference technique Anchor-Heavy Identity Sinks to build LiveTalk, a real-time multimodal interactive avatar system. System-level evaluation on our curated multi-turn interaction benchmark shows LiveTalk outperforms state-of-the-art models (Sora2, Veo3) in multi-turn video coherence and content quality, while reducing response latency from 1 to 2 minutes to real-time generation, enabling seamless human-AI multimodal interaction.

AV-DiT: Efficient Audio-Visual Diffusion Transformer for Joint Audio and Video Generation

Recent Diffusion Transformers (DiTs) have shown impressive capabilities in generating high-quality single-modality content, including images, videos, and audio. However, it is still under-explored whether the transformer-based diffuser can efficiently denoise the Gaussian noises towards superb multimodal content creation. To bridge this gap, we introduce AV-DiT, a novel and efficient audio-visual diffusion transformer designed to generate high-quality, realistic videos with both visual and audio tracks. To minimize model complexity and computational costs, AV-DiT utilizes a shared DiT backbone pre-trained on image-only data, with only lightweight, newly inserted adapters being trainable. This shared backbone facilitates both audio and video generation. Specifically, the video branch incorporates a trainable temporal attention layer into a frozen pre-trained DiT block for temporal consistency. Additionally, a small number of trainable parameters adapt the image-based DiT block for audio generation. An extra shared DiT block, equipped with lightweight parameters, facilitates feature interaction between audio and visual modalities, ensuring alignment. Extensive experiments on the AIST++ and Landscape datasets demonstrate that AV-DiT achieves state-of-the-art performance in joint audio-visual generation with significantly fewer tunable parameters. Furthermore, our results highlight that a single shared image generative backbone with modality-specific adaptations is sufficient for constructing a joint audio-video generator. Our source code and pre-trained models will be released.

Sound Sparks Motion: Audio and Text Tuning for Video Editing

Motion-centric video editing remains difficult for large generative video models, which often respond well to appearance changes but struggle to produce specific, localized actions or state transitions in an existing clip. We introduce Sound Sparks Motion, a training-free framework that enables motion editing in an audio-visual video generation model by tuning its internal multimodal conditioning signals at test time. Rather than modifying model weights, our method tunes only two lightweight variables: an audio latent derived from the source video and a residual perturbation in the text-conditioning. We find that this combination can encourage motion edits that the underlying model often struggles to realize under prompt-only control. Since there is no direct way to evaluate temporal alignment between text and motion, we guide the tuning process using a vision-language model that provides feedback indicating whether the intended motion appears in the generated video. This simple supervision yields an effective semantic objective for motion editing, while regularization and perceptual-temporal constraints help preserve content and visual quality. Beyond per-video tuning, we show that the learned latent controls are transferable across videos, suggesting that they capture reusable motion-edit directions rather than overfitting to a single example. Our results highlight multimodal conditioning tuning, particularly through the audio pathway, as a promising direction for motion-aware video editing, and suggest that test-time tuning can serve as a lightweight probing mechanism that helps reveal latent motion controls embedded in the model's multimodal conditioning. SkyReels-V3 Technique Report

Video generation serves as a cornerstone for building world models, where multimodal contextual inference stands as the defining test of capability. In this end, we present SkyReels-V3, a conditional video generation model, built upon a unified multimodal in-context learning framework with diffusion Transformers. SkyReels-V3 model supports three core generative paradigms within a single architecture: reference images-to-video synthesis, video-to-video extension and audio-guided video generation. (i) reference images-to-video model is designed to produce high-fidelity videos with strong subject identity preservation, temporal coherence, and narrative consistency. To enhance reference adherence and compositional stability, we design a comprehensive data processing pipeline that leverages cross frame pairing, image editing, and semantic rewriting, effectively mitigating copy paste artifacts. During training, an image video hybrid strategy combined with multi-resolution joint optimization is employed to improve generalization and robustness across diverse scenarios. (ii) video extension model integrates spatio-temporal consistency modeling with large-scale video understanding, enabling both seamless single-shot continuation and intelligent multi-shot switching with professional cinematographic patterns. (iii) Talking avatar model supports minute-level audio-conditioned video generation by training first-and-last frame insertion patterns and reconstructing key-frame inference paradigms. On the basis of ensuring visual quality, synchronization of audio and videos has been optimized. Extensive evaluations demonstrate that SkyReels-V3 achieves state-of-the-art or near state-of-the-art performance on key metrics including visual quality, instruction following, and specific aspect metrics, approaching leading closed-source systems. Baton: Explicit Semantic Blueprints for Joint Video-Audio Generation

Current open-source diffusion models struggle to generate stable and synchronized audio-visual content, particularly in scenarios demanding complex semantic reasoning. The root cause is that existing methods rely on coarse text embeddings from off-the-shelf encoders to guide audio-video denoising, which discards fine-grained semantics and, critically, lacks a shared long-horizon plan, leading to uncoordinated denoising trajectories and fragile cross-modal alignment. We propose Baton, the first framework that introduces explicit semantic planning into joint video-audio generation. Our key insight is that complementing coarse text guidance with semantically rich, modality-aware planned tokens, jointly reasoned and mutually aligned before denoising, can simultaneously restore fine-grained semantic detail and establish a shared blueprint that coordinates both audio and video denoising trajectories. Concretely, Baton first introduces the VA-Planner, a multimodal language model equipped with dual semantic alignment towers, where learnable queries cross-attend to both video and audio features to produce a pair of semantically aligned video and audio planned tokens as keyframe-level blueprints. These planned tokens are injected into the diffusion backbone via cross-attention layers, providing temporally grounded guidance complementary to coarse text embeddings. Since planned tokens do not share one-to-one spatial-temporal correspondence with diffusion latents, we further propose Relative Semantic RoPE, a relative positional encoding that maps planned tokens and latents into a shared spatial-temporal coordinate frame, enabling each latent to accurately attend to its positionally corresponding semantic cues. Experiments on benchmarks show the effectiveness of Baton both qualitatively and quantitatively.

MagicAnime: A Hierarchically Annotated, Multimodal and Multitasking Dataset with Benchmarks for Cartoon Animation Generation

Generating high-quality cartoon animations multimodal control is challenging due to the complexity of non-human characters, stylistically diverse motions and fine-grained emotions. There is a huge domain gap between real-world videos and cartoon animation, as cartoon animation is usually abstract and has exaggerated motion. Meanwhile, public multimodal cartoon data are extremely scarce due to the difficulty of large-scale automatic annotation processes compared with real-life scenarios. To bridge this gap, We propose the MagicAnime dataset, a large-scale, hierarchically annotated, and multimodal dataset designed to support multiple video generation tasks, along with the benchmarks it includes. Containing 400k video clips for image-to-video generation, 50k pairs of video clips and keypoints for whole-body annotation, 12k pairs of video clips for video-to-video face animation, and 2.9k pairs of video and audio clips for audio-driven face animation. Meanwhile, we also build a set of multi-modal cartoon animation benchmarks, called MagicAnime-Bench, to support the comparisons of different methods in the tasks above. Comprehensive experiments on four tasks, including video-driven face animation, audio-driven face animation, image-to-video animation, and pose-driven character animation, validate its effectiveness in supporting high-fidelity, fine-grained, and controllable generation.

Kling-Avatar: Grounding Multimodal Instructions for Cascaded Long-Duration Avatar Animation Synthesis

Recent advances in audio-driven avatar video generation have significantly enhanced audio-visual realism. However, existing methods treat instruction conditioning merely as low-level tracking driven by acoustic or visual cues, without modeling the communicative purpose conveyed by the instructions. This limitation compromises their narrative coherence and character expressiveness. To bridge this gap, we introduce Kling-Avatar, a novel cascaded framework that unifies multimodal instruction understanding with photorealistic portrait generation. Our approach adopts a two-stage pipeline. In the first stage, we design a multimodal large language model (MLLM) director that produces a blueprint video conditioned on diverse instruction signals, thereby governing high-level semantics such as character motion and emotions. In the second stage, guided by blueprint keyframes, we generate multiple sub-clips in parallel using a first-last frame strategy. This global-to-local framework preserves fine-grained details while faithfully encoding the high-level intent behind multimodal instructions. Our parallel architecture also enables fast and stable generation of long-duration videos, making it suitable for real-world applications such as digital human livestreaming and vlogging. To comprehensively evaluate our method, we construct a benchmark of 375 curated samples covering diverse instructions and challenging scenarios. Extensive experiments demonstrate that Kling-Avatar is capable of generating vivid, fluent, long-duration videos at up to 1080p and 48 fps, achieving superior performance in lip synchronization accuracy, emotion and dynamic expressiveness, instruction controllability, identity preservation, and cross-domain generalization. These results establish Kling-Avatar as a new benchmark for semantically grounded, high-fidelity audio-driven avatar synthesis.

VLOGGER: Multimodal Diffusion for Embodied Avatar Synthesis

We propose VLOGGER, a method for audio-driven human video generation from a single input image of a person, which builds on the success of recent generative diffusion models. Our method consists of 1) a stochastic human-to-3d-motion diffusion model, and 2) a novel diffusion-based architecture that augments text-to-image models with both spatial and temporal controls. This supports the generation of high quality video of variable length, easily controllable through high-level representations of human faces and bodies. In contrast to previous work, our method does not require training for each person, does not rely on face detection and cropping, generates the complete image (not just the face or the lips), and considers a broad spectrum of scenarios (e.g. visible torso or diverse subject identities) that are critical to correctly synthesize humans who communicate. We also curate MENTOR, a new and diverse dataset with 3d pose and expression annotations, one order of magnitude larger than previous ones (800,000 identities) and with dynamic gestures, on which we train and ablate our main technical contributions. VLOGGER outperforms state-of-the-art methods in three public benchmarks, considering image quality, identity preservation and temporal consistency while also generating upper-body gestures. We analyze the performance of VLOGGER with respect to multiple diversity metrics, showing that our architectural choices and the use of MENTOR benefit training a fair and unbiased model at scale. Finally we show applications in video editing and personalization.

PresentAgent: Multimodal Agent for Presentation Video Generation

We present PresentAgent, a multimodal agent that transforms long-form documents into narrated presentation videos. While existing approaches are limited to generating static slides or text summaries, our method advances beyond these limitations by producing fully synchronized visual and spoken content that closely mimics human-style presentations. To achieve this integration, PresentAgent employs a modular pipeline that systematically segments the input document, plans and renders slide-style visual frames, generates contextual spoken narration with large language models and Text-to-Speech models, and seamlessly composes the final video with precise audio-visual alignment. Given the complexity of evaluating such multimodal outputs, we introduce PresentEval, a unified assessment framework powered by Vision-Language Models that comprehensively scores videos across three critical dimensions: content fidelity, visual clarity, and audience comprehension through prompt-based evaluation. Our experimental validation on a curated dataset of 30 document-presentation pairs demonstrates that PresentAgent approaches human-level quality across all evaluation metrics. These results highlight the significant potential of controllable multimodal agents in transforming static textual materials into dynamic, effective, and accessible presentation formats. Code will be available at https://github.com/AIGeeksGroup/PresentAgent.

OmniShow: Unifying Multimodal Conditions for Human-Object Interaction Video Generation

In this work, we study Human-Object Interaction Video Generation (HOIVG), which aims to synthesize high-quality human-object interaction videos conditioned on text, reference images, audio, and pose. This task holds significant practical value for automating content creation in real-world applications, such as e-commerce demonstrations, short video production, and interactive entertainment. However, existing approaches fail to accommodate all these requisite conditions. We present OmniShow, an end-to-end framework tailored for this practical yet challenging task, capable of harmonizing multimodal conditions and delivering industry-grade performance. To overcome the trade-off between controllability and quality, we introduce Unified Channel-wise Conditioning for efficient image and pose injection, and Gated Local-Context Attention to ensure precise audio-visual synchronization. To effectively address data scarcity, we develop a Decoupled-Then-Joint Training strategy that leverages a multi-stage training process with model merging to efficiently harness heterogeneous sub-task datasets. Furthermore, to fill the evaluation gap in this field, we establish HOIVG-Bench, a dedicated and comprehensive benchmark for HOIVG. Extensive experiments demonstrate that OmniShow achieves overall state-of-the-art performance across various multimodal conditioning settings, setting a solid standard for the emerging HOIVG task.

ControlFoley: Unified and Controllable Video-to-Audio Generation with Cross-Modal Conflict Handling

Recent advances in video-to-audio (V2A) generation enable high-quality audio synthesis from visual content, yet achieving robust and fine-grained controllability remains challenging. Existing methods suffer from weak textual controllability under visual-text conflict and imprecise stylistic control due to entangled temporal and timbre information in reference audio. Moreover, the lack of standardized benchmarks limits systematic evaluation. We propose ControlFoley, a unified multimodal V2A framework that enables precise control over video, text, and reference audio. We introduce a joint visual encoding paradigm that integrates CLIP with a spatio-temporal audio-visual encoder to improve alignment and textual controllability. We further propose temporal-timbre decoupling to suppress redundant temporal cues while preserving discriminative timbre features. In addition, we design a modality-robust training scheme with unified multimodal representation alignment (REPA) and random modality dropout. We also present VGGSound-TVC, a benchmark for evaluating textual controllability under varying degrees of visual-text conflict. Extensive experiments demonstrate state-of-the-art performance across multiple V2A tasks, including text-guided, text-controlled, and audio-controlled generation. ControlFoley achieves superior controllability under cross-modal conflict while maintaining strong synchronization and audio quality, and shows competitive or better performance compared to an industrial V2A system. AlignDiT: Multimodal Aligned Diffusion Transformer for Synchronized Speech Generation

In this paper, we address the task of multimodal-to-speech generation, which aims to synthesize high-quality speech from multiple input modalities: text, video, and reference audio. This task has gained increasing attention due to its wide range of applications, such as film production, dubbing, and virtual avatars. Despite recent progress, existing methods still suffer from limitations in speech intelligibility, audio-video synchronization, speech naturalness, and voice similarity to the reference speaker. To address these challenges, we propose AlignDiT, a multimodal Aligned Diffusion Transformer that generates accurate, synchronized, and natural-sounding speech from aligned multimodal inputs. Built upon the in-context learning capability of the DiT architecture, AlignDiT explores three effective strategies to align multimodal representations. Furthermore, we introduce a novel multimodal classifier-free guidance mechanism that allows the model to adaptively balance information from each modality during speech synthesis. Extensive experiments demonstrate that AlignDiT significantly outperforms existing methods across multiple benchmarks in terms of quality, synchronization, and speaker similarity. Moreover, AlignDiT exhibits strong generalization capability across various multimodal tasks, such as video-to-speech synthesis and visual forced alignment, consistently achieving state-of-the-art performance. AVBench: Human-Aligned and Automated Evaluation Benchmark for Audio-Video Generative Models

Rapid advances in audio-video (AV) generation have enabled high-fidelity synthesis with synchronized sound, particularly for human-related scenarios involving speech and interactions. Yet evaluation for AV generation remains at an early stage, with only a few coarse-grained benchmarks for human-related scenarios and relying on limited preset evaluations with generic multimodal LLMs, leading to inaccurate assessments of model capabilities. To address these issues, we introduce AVBench, a fully automated benchmark tailored for human-centric AV generation. AVBench is built on two key designs for comprehensive and accurate evaluation: (i) Human-centric and fine-grained metrics. AVBench integrates ten evaluation dimensions designed for human-centered real-world scenarios, covering visual quality, audio quality, and multi-level consistency across modalities. These practical metrics capture human-related details that existing benchmarks often overlook. (ii) Specialized evaluators via preference learning. To address the lack of specialized training data, we construct large-scale supervision by transforming real-world videos into diverse training pairs with controlled perturbations. After fine-tuning on this high-quality dataset, the evaluators learn to reliably detect subtle cross-modal inconsistencies. Crucially, instead of producing discrete textual judgment, AVBench derives continuous evaluation scores from the model's prediction confidence on binary decisions. This probabilistic scoring mechanism enables a more reliable assessment than traditional VQA-style evaluation and aligns closely with human judgment. Taken together, AVBench offers automated evaluation for AV generation, demonstrates strong potential for data filtering, and serves as a differentiable reward signal for Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF).

Bob's Confetti: Phonetic Memorization Attacks in Music and Video Generation

Memorization in generative models extends far beyond verbatim text reproduction--it manifests through non-literal patterns, semantic associations, and surprisingly, across modalities in transcript-conditioned generation tasks such as Lyrics-to-Song (L2S) and Text-to-Video (T2V) models. We reveal a new class of cross-modality memorization where models trained on these tasks leak copyrighted content through indirect, phonetic pathways invisible to traditional text-based analysis. In this work, we introduce Adversarial PhoneTic Prompting (APT), an attack that replaces iconic phrases with homophonic alternatives--e.g., "mom's spaghetti" becomes "Bob's confetti"--preserving the acoustic form while largely changing semantic content. We demonstrate that models can be prompted to regurgitate memorized songs using phonetically similar but semantically unrelated lyrics. Despite the semantic drift, black-box models like SUNO and open-source models like YuE generate outputs that are strikingly similar to the original songs--melodically, rhythmically, and vocally--achieving high scores on AudioJudge, CLAP, and CoverID. These effects persist across genres and languages. More surprisingly, we find that phonetic prompts alone can trigger visual memorization in text-to-video models: when given altered lyrics from Lose Yourself, Veo 3 generates scenes that mirror the original music video--complete with a hooded rapper and dim urban settings--despite no explicit visual cues in the prompt. This cross-modality leakage represents an unprecedented threat: models memorize deep, structural patterns that transcend their training modality, making traditional safety measures like copyright filters ineffective. Our findings reveal a fundamental vulnerability in transcript-conditioned generative models and raise urgent concerns around copyright, provenance, and secure deployment of multimodal generation systems.

ThinkSound: Chain-of-Thought Reasoning in Multimodal Large Language Models for Audio Generation and Editing

While end-to-end video-to-audio generation has greatly improved, producing high-fidelity audio that authentically captures the nuances of visual content remains challenging. Like professionals in the creative industries, such generation requires sophisticated reasoning about items such as visual dynamics, acoustic environments, and temporal relationships. We present ThinkSound, a novel framework that leverages Chain-of-Thought (CoT) reasoning to enable stepwise, interactive audio generation and editing for videos. Our approach decomposes the process into three complementary stages: foundational foley generation that creates semantically coherent soundscapes, interactive object-centric refinement through precise user interactions, and targeted editing guided by natural language instructions. At each stage, a multimodal large language model generates contextually aligned CoT reasoning that guides a unified audio foundation model. Furthermore, we introduce AudioCoT, a comprehensive dataset with structured reasoning annotations that establishes connections between visual content, textual descriptions, and sound synthesis. Experiments demonstrate that ThinkSound achieves state-of-the-art performance in video-to-audio generation across both audio metrics and CoT metrics and excels in out-of-distribution Movie Gen Audio benchmark. Think-Before-Draw: Decomposing Emotion Semantics & Fine-Grained Controllable Expressive Talking Head Generation

Emotional talking-head generation has emerged as a pivotal research area at the intersection of computer vision and multimodal artificial intelligence, with its core value lying in enhancing human-computer interaction through immersive and empathetic engagement. With the advancement of multimodal large language models, the driving signals for emotional talking-head generation has shifted from audio and video to more flexible text. However, current text-driven methods rely on predefined discrete emotion label texts, oversimplifying the dynamic complexity of real facial muscle movements and thus failing to achieve natural emotional expressiveness. This study proposes the Think-Before-Draw framework to address two key challenges: (1) In-depth semantic parsing of emotions--by innovatively introducing Chain-of-Thought (CoT), abstract emotion labels are transformed into physiologically grounded facial muscle movement descriptions, enabling the mapping from high-level semantics to actionable motion features; and (2) Fine-grained expressiveness optimization--inspired by artists' portrait painting process, a progressive guidance denoising strategy is proposed, employing a "global emotion localization--local muscle control" mechanism to refine micro-expression dynamics in generated videos. Our experiments demonstrate that our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance on widely-used benchmarks, including MEAD and HDTF. Additionally, we collected a set of portrait images to evaluate our model's zero-shot generation capability.

AudioGen-Omni: A Unified Multimodal Diffusion Transformer for Video-Synchronized Audio, Speech, and Song Generation

We present AudioGen-Omni - a unified approach based on multimodal diffusion transformers (MMDit), capable of generating high-fidelity audio, speech, and song coherently synchronized with the input video. AudioGen-Omni introduces a novel joint training paradigm that seamlessly integrates large-scale video-text-audio corpora, enabling a model capable of generating semantically rich, acoustically diverse audio conditioned on multimodal inputs and adaptable to a wide range of audio generation tasks. AudioGen-Omni employs a unified lyrics-transcription encoder that encodes graphemes and phonemes from both song and spoken inputs into dense frame-level representations. Dense frame-level representations are fused using an AdaLN-based joint attention mechanism enhanced with phase-aligned anisotropic positional infusion (PAAPI), wherein RoPE is selectively applied to temporally structured modalities to ensure precise and robust cross-modal alignment. By unfreezing all modalities and masking missing inputs, AudioGen-Omni mitigates the semantic constraints of text-frozen paradigms, enabling effective cross-modal conditioning. This joint training approach enhances audio quality, semantic alignment, and lip-sync accuracy, while also achieving state-of-the-art results on Text-to-Audio/Speech/Song tasks. With an inference time of 1.91 seconds for 8 seconds of audio, it offers substantial improvements in both efficiency and generality.

Omni2Sound: Towards Unified Video-Text-to-Audio Generation

Training a unified model integrating video-to-audio (V2A), text-to-audio (T2A), and joint video-text-to-audio (VT2A) generation offers significant application flexibility, yet faces two unexplored foundational challenges: (1) the scarcity of high-quality audio captions with tight A-V-T alignment, leading to severe semantic conflict between multimodal conditions, and (2) cross-task and intra-task competition, manifesting as an adverse V2A-T2A performance trade-off and modality bias in the VT2A task. First, to address data scarcity, we introduce SoundAtlas, a large-scale dataset (470k pairs) that significantly outperforms existing benchmarks and even human experts in quality. Powered by a novel agentic pipeline, it integrates Vision-to-Language Compression to mitigate visual bias of MLLMs, a Junior-Senior Agent Handoff for a 5 times cost reduction, and rigorous Post-hoc Filtering to ensure fidelity. Consequently, SoundAtlas delivers semantically rich and temporally detailed captions with tight V-A-T alignment. Second, we propose Omni2Sound, a unified VT2A diffusion model supporting flexible input modalities. To resolve the inherent cross-task and intra-task competition, we design a three-stage multi-task progressive training schedule that converts cross-task competition into joint optimization and mitigates modality bias in the VT2A task, maintaining both audio-visual alignment and off-screen audio generation faithfulness. Finally, we construct VGGSound-Omni, a comprehensive benchmark for unified evaluation, including challenging off-screen tracks. With a standard DiT backbone, Omni2Sound achieves unified SOTA performance across all three tasks within a single model, demonstrating strong generalization across benchmarks with heterogeneous input conditions. The project page is at https://swapforward.github.io/Omni2Sound.

Script-a-Video: Deep Structured Audio-visual Captions via Factorized Streams and Relational Grounding

Advances in Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) are transforming video captioning from a descriptive endpoint into a semantic interface for both video understanding and generation. However, the dominant paradigm still casts videos as monolithic narrative paragraphs that entangle visual, auditory, and identity information. This dense coupling not only compromises representational fidelity but also limits scalability, since even local edits can trigger global rewrites. To address this structural bottleneck, we propose Multi-Stream Scene Script (MTSS), a novel paradigm that replaces monolithic text with factorized and explicitly grounded scene descriptions. MTSS is built on two core principles: Stream Factorization, which decouples a video into complementary streams (Reference, Shot, Event, and Global), and Relational Grounding, which reconnects these isolated streams through explicit identity and temporal links to maintain holistic video consistency. Extensive experiments demonstrate that MTSS consistently enhances video understanding across various models, achieving an average reduction of 25% in the total error rate on Video-SALMONN-2 and an average performance gain of 67% on the Daily-Omni reasoning benchmark. It also narrows the performance gap between smaller and larger MLLMs, indicating a substantially more learnable caption interface. Finally, even without architectural adaptation, replacing monolithic prompts with MTSS in multi-shot video generation yields substantial human-rated improvements: a 45% boost in cross-shot identity consistency, a 56% boost in audio-visual alignment, and a 71% boost in temporal controllability.

The Tug-of-War Between Deepfake Generation and Detection

Multimodal generative models are rapidly evolving, leading to a surge in the generation of realistic video and audio that offers exciting possibilities but also serious risks. Deepfake videos, which can convincingly impersonate individuals, have particularly garnered attention due to their potential misuse in spreading misinformation and creating fraudulent content. This survey paper examines the dual landscape of deepfake video generation and detection, emphasizing the need for effective countermeasures against potential abuses. We provide a comprehensive overview of current deepfake generation techniques, including face swapping, reenactment, and audio-driven animation, which leverage cutting-edge technologies like GANs and diffusion models to produce highly realistic fake videos. Additionally, we analyze various detection approaches designed to differentiate authentic from altered videos, from detecting visual artifacts to deploying advanced algorithms that pinpoint inconsistencies across video and audio signals. The effectiveness of these detection methods heavily relies on the diversity and quality of datasets used for training and evaluation. We discuss the evolution of deepfake datasets, highlighting the importance of robust, diverse, and frequently updated collections to enhance the detection accuracy and generalizability. As deepfakes become increasingly indistinguishable from authentic content, developing advanced detection techniques that can keep pace with generation technologies is crucial. We advocate for a proactive approach in the "tug-of-war" between deepfake creators and detectors, emphasizing the need for continuous research collaboration, standardization of evaluation metrics, and the creation of comprehensive benchmarks.
